As the current issues and rumours surrounding Mohbad’s unfortunate death continue, artists from Portable’s newly founded record label, Zeh Nation, have poked fun at Marlian Music. Naira Marley, a controversial musician, manages Marlian music.
DJ Chicken and Salo, both Zeh Nation signees, recently engaged in some lighthearted banter that amused fans and netizens alike.
Remember that there was already an underlying rivalry between Marlian Records and Zeh Nation prior to the terrible incident of Mohbad’s murder. DJ Chicken and Salo said in an Instagram live video that their record label Zeh Nation was superior than Marlian’s record level.
Given the history between the two groups, DJ Chicken and Salo’s covert jab at Marlian Records was not altogether surprising.
As word of this exchange circulated, numerous fans and internet users waited for Naira Marley’s answer. Others, however, believe that Naira Marley will not answer because he has been conspicuously silent since the unfortunate death of Mohbad, his former signee.
The circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s departure from Marlian Records were already suspicious, and his unexpected death further added to the speculation.
Following Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley issued a statement promising to devote all of her efforts to solving the mystery behind the young artist’s death.
He conveyed his sorrow and condolences, but this did little to dispel the suspicions that surrounded him. Netizens and fans continue to be skeptical about Naira Marley’s remarks, with many calling for his arrest, as well as those of his close aide, Sam Larry.
A video that surfaced a day after Mohbad’s death showed Sam Larry apparently attacking the late artist, adding fuel to the fire. This footage merely added to the suspicions and inflamed the current debate.
