Popular Nigerian singer Teniola Apata professionally known as Teni in a latest post stirred emotional reactions online after disclosing to all and sundry that she was diagnosed with a life-threatening throat infection in July.

Teni, the “Uyo Meyor” crooner disclosed that she was diagnosed with the said infection while recording her second album titled Tears Of The Sun. This comes just a few months after she shared a weight-loss journey with her fans.

She disclosed that, following several episodes of temporary voice loss, medical professionals recommended a significant surgical procedure to prevent the potential of permanent voice loss.

Teni was, however, hospitalised in September after repeated cases of exhaustion. Without doing the surgery but undergoing treatment Teni, shared a clip of her journey which showed her in the hospital.

Towards the end of the clip, the singer assured her fans that her new album, “Tears Of The Sun”, is heartfelt and would be out on the 17th of this month. She added that one of her singles “Malaika” is her song of gratitude to God.
