A Nigerian bride has stirred controversy on social media as a result of her choice to proceed with her wedding without her kidnapped husband.
Her husband-to-be was said to have been abducted a day to their wedding, but rather than call it off, she proceeded in his absence using his framed picture.
The event coordinator, Victorian Crystal, posted the story online and stated that it took place 5th and 6th of January last year.
She posted a video of the bride dancing with her husband while they were leaning on the wedding tent.
She captioned the video;
“on the 5th of January 2022, bride’s husband got kidnapped a day to their wedding, 6th of January 2022, she did the wedding without her husband”
Reacting to the video, a twitter user wrote; “And the guy’s family were present & eating jolt of rice? Story!
My mom did not sleep or eat for 3days when I was kidnapped.”
Another user wrote; “Did the guy’s family show up?? How was she able to smile with makeup cos my eyes would have bn swollen from crying. This gat to be a joke”
