Veteran Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki has spoken on how the death of his colleague, Ada Ameh, affected him.
According to the movie star during his recent interview with media personality, withchude, Ada Ameh was not just her senior but like a mother to him.
Before her death, Ada Ameh played the role of his mother (Emuakpo Johnson) in the award-winning family comedy series, The Johnsons.
According to Aki, Ada Ameh was a mother to him both off-screen and on-screen and he was left devastated by her death.
He disclosed that he met with her outside production severally and people always mistook her for his biological mother.
In his words, “Ada was like a mother to me, you know!”
“She took that character off the screen. As in, even outside production. I have met her severally outside, you know, that people will say ‘see your Pikin’. You know that kind of a thing. So it was like losing a part of me. It was really. In fact, that was the least story or information or news I opted to hear.”
“That’s the biggest shock of our lives. That’s all of us. The Johnsons. It broke us… Forever”.
