Prophet Austin Ariole believes that the demise of young artist Mohbad was not the fault of Naira Marley, owner of the Marlian record label.

The General Overseer of the Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, is Prophet Austin Ariole.

He maintained, however, that the deceased’s family’s witches were to blame for his death.

He made these statements during the Goshen Freedom Tabernacle’s Upper Room team’s Tuesday prayer meeting in Effurun.

He went after the Church, claiming that it was to fault for Mohbad’s death since it didn’t do enough to help the young singer. He claimed that the Church should have been a safe haven.

He said, “I don’t like worldly musicians, but I just picked interest in this one, and when I was praying last night, God revealed to me that Naira Marley did not kill Mohbad. Witches from his village killed him.”

The prophet went on to say that these witches killed Mohbad because they saw his bright future and were motivated by it.

Prophet Ariole expressed sympathy for the family while criticizing Mohbad’s father, saying that despite people seeking safety in mountains for their children, the father did not do enough for his son.

He voiced his concern over the father’s attention being diverted from the tragedy itself to financial concerns pertaining to the burial.
