A Nigerian lady, who is into ‘Hook up’ business has shared her distressing experience with popular women charm, ‘Kayamata‘.
Kayamata is a blend of herbs and roots traditionally believed to enhance love and intimacy. Originating from Northern Nigeria, this concoction has been part of the local lore for generations, but its misuse is a growing concern.
The word ‘Kayamata’ literally translates to ‘Women’s Things’ in Hausa. While the original intent of these herbs was to strengthen marital bonds, it seems their misuse has led to extreme rituals and, in some cases, unimaginable peril.
In a video circulating online, the young woman disclosed that she turned to the spiritual concoction when her ‘hook up’ business faced challenges. She mentioned that, upon seeking advice, a friend introduced her to a mystical woman who provided her with a powder to apply on her face.
Her business started moving fast until she started bleeding and vomiting blood from her mouth. She went back to the traditional woman, who gave her the solution of sleeping on graveyards.
Seeking help and crying out across online platforms, she has joined a chorus of voices warning against the misuse of ‘Kayamata’.
