Nigerian politician and business mogul, Ned Nwoko, has disclosed that he was invited for the OceanGate submersible adventure but turned down the offer because he was tied down with national duties.
He made this revelation while mourning the death of his friend, British businessman Hamish Harding, who tragically passed away during a voyage to explore the wreckage of Titanic.
It was earlier reported that Hamish and four other people were confirmed dead days after the Titan submarine they were in disappeared from the radar. The submersible was said to have imploded, killing everyone onboard.
Reacting to the tragic news, Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian billionaire who was recently sworn in as a Senator representing Delta North senatorial district, revealed that he received an invitation for the Titan adventure but could not honor the invitation because he had other commitments in Nigeria.
