The gesture comes after JAMB announced Miss Umeh from Anambra State as the highest scorer in the examination.
Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has granted a full-ride scholarship to Umeh Kamsiyochukwu Precious, the candidate with the best score in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
The gesture comes after JAMB announced Miss Umeh from Anambra State as the highest scorer in the examination, with a total score of 360.
According to a statement released by Soludo’s chief press secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, the governor commended her for making the state proud with her exceptional academic performance.
He also offered her a scholarship to study any course of her choice at the state’s Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
The statement read;
“In further celebration of Miss Umeh’s feat, Governor Soludo has announced a well-deserved scholarship for her to study any course of her choice at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State.
“The scholarship will not only serve as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work but also provide her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams and contribute to the development of the state in the future.”
