The chef, who’s an undergraduate student at the Federal University of Oye Ekiti, gained widespread recognition after she attempted a 120-hour cook-a-thon a few weeks ago.

A trending video of Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi, better known as Chef Dammy, fetching water from a well has stirred reactions on social media.

The chef, who’s an undergraduate student at the Federal University of Oye Ekiti, gained widespread recognition after she attempted a 120-hour cook-a-thon a few weeks ago.

After the attempt, which she later made clear was not to break any records but was done for her love of cooking, she was spotted in public on different occasions with security details.

Every interview she attended after the event was in the company of a body guard, and at the time it stirred reactions from Nigerians on social media who queried the need for a body guard.

Well, it appears chef Dammy has now gone back to her regular student life, as a recent video of her that surfaced on the internet showed her fetching water from a well without her bodyguards.

Reacting, a Twitter user @DolapoAdufe wrote, “Ah ah chef chef maybe another Guinness book of record is loading… the longest hour to fetch water from well… but where is all her security personnel now”.
