2face, popularly known as 2Baba, a Nigerian music icon, has drew backlash from Nigerians after commenting on the FBI’s plans to reveal papers pertaining to President Tinubu.

Netizens reacted angrily to the singer’s remark, questioning his stance and reminding him of his own marital troubles.

The uproar began when Charly Boy, also known as Area Fada, turned to Twitter to discuss the imminent FBI release. Charly Boy implored Nigerians and his allies in the United States, especially the CIA and FBI, to confirm the news, underlining that it isn’t finished until it is.

“Abegi, my people for US, my friends for CIA and FBI, fellow frustrated Nigerians, make una help me confirm dis news. know it’s not over till it’s over.

We no dey do sprint na marathon be our tin.”

In response, 2face suggested that the FBI reveal records concerning many other figures, including former US presidents and foreign leaders, before releasing data relating to President Tinubu. He emphasized that Nigeria should handle its own problems.

“Make dem release bush sr and in and Clintons and trump and Obama and Biden and James bond and apartheid SA government and king leopold of Belgium and France and gbogbo all of those first make we see something.

If not make dem leave to face our own by ourself.”

Many Nigerians, however, were critical of 2face’s attitude and recommended him to focus on his marriage.

Some commenters referred to his previous allegations of adultery, particularly those made public by his wife Annie Idibia. Annie had previously chastised 2face for reportedly having many relationships.
