May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has extended her heartfelt message of congratulations to her father-in-law Pete Edochie in celebration of his recent and remarkable accomplishment.

Recall Intel Region had earlier reported that ISTM University, Togo, awarded the veteran movie star a double honorary doctorate degree.

The honours include a Doctorate of Literature in Cultural Studies/Creative Writing and a Doctorate of Arts in Excellence, Leadership and Development.

Despite encountering challenges in her marriage with Yul Edochie, May turned to her Instagram page to convey her appreciation for Pete Edochie, who has consistently expressed his admiration for her in public.

The mother of three marked Pete’s recent academic achievement as a significant milestone, underscoring its momentous nature.

She stressed that such a remarkable distinction could only be attributed to a seasoned veteran and living legend like Pete Edochie, who was being honored not once but twice in a single day.

May extended her heartfelt gratitude to iSTM University for their wise decision in conferring academic degrees upon this exceptional thespian.

In her heartfelt admiration, she hailed him as “the great,” extolling his virtues as an embodiment of honor and dignity, a fatherly figure to all, and a resplendent symbol of Africa’s resilience – the majestic lion.

With deep devotion, May Edochie concluded her message with a heartfelt prayer, entreating the divine to strengthen both Pete and his spouse, ensuring they only encounter occasions to revel in the joy of celebration and accolades.

She wrote; “It’s a double celebration!!!

Only a veteran and and legend gets decorated twice on the same day.

Thanks to iSTM university for making the right decision to confer the degrees of “Doctorate of Arts” and “Doctorate of Literature” on the @peteedochie the great; a man of honor, a man of dignity and a father to all. The lion of Africa.
