A video has surfaced online showing former security guards, Happie Boys, performing at a club in Girne, North Cyprus.
In the video, the young men, who became internet sensations after being fired from their jobs for dancing while on duty, can be seen showcasing their signature dance moves while wearing their modified security uniforms, which have become their trademark costumes.
The clip quickly went viral after being shared online, sparking various reactions from Nigerians on social media.
This development follows the boys’ announcement to stay in Cyprus, despite the Nigerian clergyman who originally sponsored them for studies booking their flight tickets to return to Nigeria and continue their education.
Recall that after they revealed that they stopped receiving sponsorship from Apostle Chibuzor after the first six months of their arrival in Cypus, he opened up that he paused the scholarship due to financial challenges.
Apostle Chibuzor subsequently forgave them for their call-out and offered them a scholarship to any university of their choice in Nigeria or Benin Republic. He even went as far as booking flight tickets for their return to Nigeria.
However, the boys, in a video shared on their Instagram page, rejected his offer to sponsor their trip back to Nigeria, stating their decision to remain in Cyprus.
