Popular Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite has shed light on the reasons her marriage to Ghanaian movie star, Chris Attoh fell apart.
Recall that Chris and Damilola met on the set award-winning soap opera ‘Tinsel’. After bearing a child together in 2014, the movie stars wed in a private ceremony in 2015.
The actress explained why she divorced Chris in an interview with popular journalist, Chude Jideonwo, saying that they came to the realization that love was not enough.
According to her, love was just one of the qualities needed to make a relationship work, it was not everything.
In September 2017, the couple divorced. But Damilola emphasized that she did not regret being divorced from her ex-husband.
The single mother continued by saying that she only has esteem for Chris Attoh since he is the father of her baby.
Damilola said; “Love is not enough. When you meet somebody and you want to spend your life with them, love is just one of the qualities that you need. But it is not everything.”
